BeoTura began as a school project and has since developed into an initiative dedicated to fostering critical awareness and understanding of Belgrade’s contested heritage. We engage with the city’s diverse cultural legacy through inclusive, diversity-sensitive, and participatory practices that enable constructive reflection on the past.
BeoTura members offer unique, research-based tours developed from carefully curated materials that provid experiences that are critically informed, reflective, and engaging, while highlighting voices and perspectives often overlooked in the public narrative.
Awarded the Despot Stefan Lazarević Award by the City of Belgrade in 2020.
In 2024, BeoTura received the #Histolab Award from the Council of Europe for its innovative school history projects.
