It was installed in 1989 as part of a large-scale urban beautification project carried out in Belgrade ahead of the 9th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The sculpture was a gift from the municipality of Kikinda and formed part of a unique collection of artworks presented to Belgrade by towns and municipalities from across Yugoslavia in preparation for the summit. The work was created in 1982 during the Terra Sculpture Symposium in Kikinda, one of the region\u2019s most important centres for terracotta sculpture.<\/p>\n<p>Originally, each sculpture in this open-air gallery was accompanied by a bronze plaque providing information about the artist, the donor, and the occasion on which the work was presented. The sculptures and plaques were officially unveiled on 25 August 1989, just days before the summit began. Over time, however, most of the plaques disappeared.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/beotura.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/IMG_2229.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-31128 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/beotura.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/IMG_2229-1024x761.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"761\" srcset=\"https:\/\/beotura.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/IMG_2229-1024x761.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/beotura.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/IMG_2229-300x223.jpg 300w, https:\/\/beotura.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/IMG_2229-768x571.jpg 768w, https:\/\/beotura.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/IMG_2229-1536x1142.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/beotura.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/IMG_2229-50x37.jpg 50w, https:\/\/beotura.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/IMG_2229.jpg 1617w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Today, the sculpture remains in its original location in Ta\u0161majdan Park.
