The murals, which were gifts from across Yugoslavia, reflected the regions they came from, with the hope that Belgrade would remain &#8220;Yugoslavia in miniature.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>A lesser-known anecdote reveals that Branko Milju\u0161 incorporated the symbol of the Lufthansa airline, the crane, into the mosaic.
