The entire complex was constructed between 1966 and 1974.<br data-start=\"312\" data-end=\"315\" \/>According to the original plan, Blocks 8 and 8a consisted of 8 residential buildings.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"404\" data-end=\"495\">Later, in the 1990s, a complex was built in Block 8 that had not been originally planned.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"497\" data-end=\"738\">The local community was named after the national hero Marko Ore\u0161kovi\u0107. The Local Community Day was celebrated on April 4, the date in 1967 when the local community was established. His bust is located on the edge of the large intersection.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"740\" data-end=\"908\">Block 8 also housed a commercial center where the Centrotekstil department store was located. At the corner of Mihailo Pupin Boulevard and Marshal Tolbukhin Street stands a commercial building that originally housed the Centrotekstil department store. Today, it is occupied by various companies and institutions.
