class=\"siteorigin-widget-tinymce textwidget\">\n\t<p>Construction of Block 28 began in 1969 and was completed in 1979. The conceptual design of the block was created by architect Milutin Glavi\u010dki, while the buildings were designed by architect Ilija Arnautovi\u0107. These four-story buildings were constructed on the site originally planned for the community center.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"353\" data-end=\"782\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">In addition to the residential buildings, the block also includes a kindergarten, an elementary school, a community center (located on the ground floor of a later-built residential building), and service facilities such as a garage and a transformer station. During the 1990s, several other buildings were constructed, and numerous modifications to the existing structures significantly altered the block\u2019s original appearance.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/beotura.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/IMG_0340.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-26407\" src=\"http:\/\/beotura.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/IMG_0340.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1160\" height=\"1740\" srcset=\"https:\/\/beotura.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/IMG_0340.jpg 1160w, https:\/\/beotura.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/IMG_0340-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/beotura.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/IMG_0340-683x1024.jpg 683w, https:\/\/beotura.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/IMG_0340-768x1152.jpg 768w, https:\/\/beotura.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/IMG_0340-1024x1536.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/beotura.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/IMG_0340-33x50.jpg 33w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1160px) 100vw, 1160px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"262\">In the northern part of the block, a low-rise building was originally intended to house the <strong data-start=\"92\" data-end=\"110\">\u201cSlovenijales\u201d<\/strong> furniture showroom. Later, starting in the 1990s, it was converted into a commercial facility, changing both its ownership and purpose several times.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"264\" data-end=\"610\">This block was part of the <strong data-start=\"291\" data-end=\"303\">\u201cNjego\u0161\u201d<\/strong> local community, whose Community Day was celebrated on <strong data-start=\"359\" data-end=\"375\">September 30<\/strong>, marking the establishment of the organization in <strong data-start=\"426\" data-end=\"434\">1972<\/strong>. At that time, a bust of the Montenegrin statesman and poet <strong data-start=\"495\" data-end=\"523\">Petar II Petrovi\u0107 Njego\u0161<\/strong> was installed. The bust disappeared during the 1990s but was reinstated in <strong data-start=\"599\" data-end=\"607\">2018<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"612\" data-end=\"993\">The four-story horseshoe-shaped building was expanded in the 1990s, while the ground floors of the <strong data-start=\"711\" data-end=\"728\">\u201cTelevizorke\u201d<\/strong> buildings (on Arsenije \u010carnojevi\u0107 Boulevard) were converted into commercial spaces by repurposing existing passages. Along the edges of the block, a series of mixed-use residential and commercial buildings were constructed throughout the <strong data-start=\"967\" data-end=\"976\">1990s<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"981\" data-end=\"990\">2000s<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"995\" data-end=\"1372\">The idea of <strong data-start=\"1007\" data-end=\"1079\">Belgrade as a meeting point for all nations of the former Yugoslavia<\/strong> is reflected in the fact that architects from various republics contributed to the design of Block 28. A particularly significant contribution came from Slovenian architects <strong data-start=\"1254\" data-end=\"1271\">Janez Lajovic<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1276\" data-end=\"1293\">Slavko Kristl<\/strong>, whose projects remain recognizable symbols of the neighborhood to this day.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1374\" data-end=\"1649\">In early <strong data-start=\"1383\" data-end=\"1391\">1973<\/strong>, the <strong data-start=\"1397\" data-end=\"1437\">\u201cRadoje Domanovi\u0107\u201d Elementary School<\/strong> was built, based on a design by architect <strong data-start=\"1480\" data-end=\"1497\">Janez Lajovic<\/strong>. Its distinctive <strong data-start=\"1515\" data-end=\"1549\">three-wing (cloverleaf) layout<\/strong> was considered highly modern at the time and provided space for approximately <strong data-start=\"1628\" data-end=\"1646\">1,200 students<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1651\" data-end=\"1857\">In the schoolyard, there are two busts: one of <strong data-start=\"1698\" data-end=\"1718\">Radoje Domanovi\u0107<\/strong>, created by sculptor <strong data-start=\"1740\" data-end=\"1758\">Neboj\u0161a Mitri\u0107<\/strong>, and another of <strong data-start=\"1775\" data-end=\"1795\">Dragan Kova\u010devi\u0107<\/strong>, a national hero and courier, whose author remains unknown.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1859\" data-end=\"2213\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">The <strong data-start=\"1863\" data-end=\"1903\">\u201cRadoje Domanovi\u0107\u201d Elementary School<\/strong> was originally founded in <strong data-start=\"1930\" data-end=\"1938\">1954<\/strong> on <strong data-start=\"1942\" data-end=\"1963\">\u0160afarikova Street<\/strong>, where a special department for visually impaired children was also opened. This department later evolved into a separate institution, which was named after national hero <strong data-start=\"2135\" data-end=\"2155\">Dragan Kova\u010devi\u0107<\/strong>. blok je projektovan u stilu brutalisti\u010dke arhtekture. Iako je projekat predvi\u0111ao razli\u010dite vrste zgrada, dva stambena objekta tzv. Televizorke su postale prepoznatljiv simbol ovog bloka. \"Televizorke\" se nalaze na dva kraja Bloka 28 a ime su dobile zbog karakteristi\u010dnog oblika prozorskih otvora koji podse\u0107aju na televizor. Sagra\u0111ene su izme\u0111u 1970. do 1974. godine po projektu arh. Ilije Arnautovi\u0107a. Imaju po 10 spratova i po 13 ulaza. Svaka zgrada ima 487 stanova (najmanji stan je dvoosoban, a najvec\u0301i petosoban). U suterenu su gara\u017ee, a u prizmelju poslovni i prodajni prostor. Sada\u0161nji izgled televizorki odstupa delimi\u010dno od originalnog izgleda zbog velikog broja prepravki stanara.<\/p>\n<p>Svi javni objekti \u0161kola, vrti\u0107 i gara\u017ea prostorno su povezani. Ovakav prostorni raspored \u2013 neprekinutog povezivanja svih objekata u celinu predstavlja osobenost bloka 28. Ure\u0111enjem parka bavio se tim arhitekata na \u010delu sa Olgom Mili\u0107evi\u0107 Nikoli\u0107.<\/p>\n<p>Zgrada popularano nazvana \u201ePotkovica\u201c zbog svog polukru\u017enog oblikaje gotovo je cela nadogra\u0111ena.Ovu zgradu je tako\u0111e projetovao arh.Ilija Arnautovi\u0107.\u00a0 <span class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">\u00a0Ona je prepoznatljiva po svom polukru\u017enom obliku, sa prostranim parkom, i zelenim oazama. Obe zgrade imaju neobi\u010dne osnove sa pa\u017eljivo osmi\u0161ljenim unutra\u0161njim prostorom. Dok \u0161kola ima trolisnu osnovu, vrti\u0107 Slavuj svojim dizajnom odgovara talasastom pejza\u017eu parka i simboli\u010dno predstavlja\u00a0 skloni\u0161te\/igrali\u0161te za
