The building was designed by a Russian-born architect Viktor Lukomsky. The previous building of the metropolitan court was a simple, one-story building erected on the land bought in 1818. The main fa\u00e7ade towards Kneza Sime Markovi\u0107a Street is more luxurious with  ornaments and painted decoration in the Serbian medieval art' style. Other facades are simpler with sleek designed, without unnecessary details. In the inner courtyard rises a chapel \/ church of smaller dimensions dedicated to St. Simeon. Simeona Miroto\u010divog<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Slikar Vladimir Predojevi\u0107, do\u0161ao je u Srbiju, posle Bolj\u0161evi\u010dke revolucije i postao profesor Akademije primenjenih umetnosti u Beogradu. On je islikao zidove\u00a0 kapele kao i ikone na ikonostasu ukra\u0161enom duborezom ohridskih umetnika. Ceo posao je bio zavr\u0161en 1936, kada je osve\u0161tana\u00a0 kapela\u00a0 Sv. Simeona Miroto\u010divog.<\/p>\n<p>Sve do Drugog svetskog rata, \u017eenama je bio zabranjen ulazak u kapelu u Patrijar\u0161iji.
