The first Jewish communities in Belgrade have existed since 1521. Jews, with their culture, science, history and politics, have left a big mark on their activities in our capital. Some streets of Belgrade are named after famous Jewish personalities from our city, for example. Danilo Ki\u0161, Oskar Davi\u010do, Rahela Ferrari\u2026<br \/>\nBefore the Second World War, there were two religious municipalities - Sephardic and Ashkenazi. The Jewish community of Belgrade became the legal successor of these municipalities.<br \/>\nIt achieves its mission and action through the cultural, social and religious aspects. This activity consists of: religious activities, cooperation with other Jewish communities and organizations in the country and the world, care and protection of identity, nurturing national holidays, preserving the memory and remembrance of the Holocaust, supporting families and the elderly with low incomes ...<br \/>\nWithin the Jewish community of Belgrade, there are sections that nurture folklore, culture, acting, literature and other arts. - Choir of the Jewish Community of Belgrade, - Amateur Theater \"King David\"\u2026<br \/>\nThe executive board of the municipality consists of the president, vice presidents and secretary. They are elected by voting at the assembly. The Association of Jewish Municipalities of Serbia is located at Kralja Petra Street no. 71a. One of the founders of this alliance is the Jewish community of Belgrade. The Sukat Shalom Synagogue is the religious center of this community, and funeral rites are performed in the Jewish<br \/>\ncemetery. The Statute of the Jewish Community of Belgrade establishes the basic issues and norms of the functioning of the municipality.The Jewish community of Belgrade represents the community of all Belgrade Jews.
